Second Gopro test!

I've not updated in a while since I havn't had that much to write about - anyways - with less than a month away from departure I wen't out today and tried some mounting views on the bike that will work with a fully loaded bike.

Watch it here and remember it's hardly edited and nothing serious;

Training 16/2 2013 av nordlund75 på Garmin Connect - Spelare

First longer attempt on my bicycle went extremely well I think, it isn't training really, more so preparation for my legs, butt and stamina since its just above one month before I head down to Macedonia.

Sure, I will feel it more tomorrow and my thighs burn now but all things considered it felt just great for the first hour and a half.

Afterwards I stopped by my job, ICA Supermarket Sundbyberg, and shopped some things for this evening and tomorrow;

The jars contain pear-marmalade with saffron and chili, Nuts mixed with rosemary and honey,  the cheeses are a 18 month cave-aged Gruyére and Brie de Meaux. The (small) bottles is a Amarone classico della Valpolicello and a Campolieti Ripasso. A little today and a little tomorrow!

Gonna head out in a moment!

The mercury shows 0 degrees Celsius, today I am gonna try my first slightly longer ride on my bike. Hopefully I will be able to track it on the GPS so I can upload it later, the instructions for that bloody thing is less than satisfying.

As a side note I haven't ridden over 1 mil before.

News at 20:58 CET!

Well actually it's not news as I've know about it for a few days, but it's news to you guys reading it!

I had a booked class to learn how to disassemble my bike into tiny bits this last Thursday (and also on Saturday) but since I hadn't heard anything I thought I call the company ( www.cykloteket.se ) and ask why - the guy answering sounded slightly annoyed and said they had no classes booked for today nor Saturday and the last ones they had was earlier in the week on Monday and Wednesday.

I was getting slightly worried at this point since everything was prepaid and it's quite a big requirement in my book to learn at least how to fix basic things on my bike with proper tools and not just my roll of previously purchased duct tape.

He said he had to check some things and called back a few hours later and said they have had some bug in their system so I got confirmation dates that wasn't correct, I had been MIA in the classes they did have earlier in the week.

But, to their credit, they suggested I get a full day VIP-treatment from the chief mechanic later this month so I gotta say they sorted that out very well.

Just hops I don't kill the poor sod with questions regarding this, that and the other...

My first, very basic, gopro test.

I used youtubes autoshaking correction and it ruined the movie quite a bit, gonna see if I can remove it.

Some camping gear, and no I am not sponsored... yet!

Got a clothesline to hang stuff washed on, a sink for dish washing, some eating utensils and two dry-bags for storing extra sensitive equipment such as electronic gear.

Top left to bottom right, clothesline, eating utensils, kitchen sink and two dry-bags.

At the crossroads, where to go?

To continue from last post, the guy I met in that map store suggested I get a hold of a better map than the ones they had stocked at kartbutiken.se so when I got home I found the bicycle map below as well as a guidebook - I really feel the more I read up and see about Albania that it is the gem of the vacation.

I also bought a map of Macedonia and my GPS ( Garmin Edge 800 ) arrived a few days ago so I shouldn't get lost.

The plan is to use the gps as a way tracking and recording my route and less so as a means to find my way around even tho I can imagine I will have use of the later feature at some point as well. I wouldn't wanna ask for directions you know... ;)

Guidebook, map, map and GPS.
